Throughout my career, I have trained in countless locations, from 5 star restaurant kitchens, Army dining facilities, to Field kitchens in the middle of Iraq. I have competed on military culinary arts teams and won several medals. Through trial and error, I gradually built my skills and expertise at every venture of my culinary career. I have been working for over 20 years practicing recipes, honing my skills, and building my portfolio so that I can provide the absolute best to my customers.
Not only do I make sure my products look phenomenal, I use the best ingredients to ensure my products taste amazing as well. At Miranda’s Cakes and Confections, LLC, you are not just a number. I take extra time and effort to make sure each product is exactly what I know you’re going to love. When it comes to cakes and cupcakes, I aim to be the best in the area, and I can’t wait to prove that to you.
How We Work
Even though we are a licensed bakery, we do not run like a typical brick and mortar location. We are a veteran owned small business and when we say “Home-Bakery” we really mean we have a bakery in our home. During the pandemic, we renovated our garage and installed a licensed bakery. Because we are not zoned commercially, and the business resides in a residential area, we do not have the foot traffic of a typical storefront and this poses some issues for us. We cannot have cakes and cupcakes readily available to the public and so we rely solely on pre-orders or wedding and larger event bookings. We do try to sell off any extra product we may have available and run weekly specials.
In addition to baking, decorating, delivering, etc…, I am also a stay at home mom. We rely on the flexibility of having specific pickup times (or pickup windows) for us to use to help coordinate customer pickups. Though we are open Mon-Saturday, 9-4pm to take orders we have these specific windows of time available for customers to arrive anytime they can within their designated pickup window, instead of communicating an exact time. These pickup windows are Monday-Thursday and Saturday: 9-11am, with Fridays: 9-11am and 2-4pm and are available by appointment only. This not only gives flexibility to customers to not have to constantly be in communication with us, but also gives us the flexibility to be able to run errands, make appointments, and take care of our children in between.
